Michael McKevitt, Financial Advisor | Partner

Mike joined G&F in June 2008 - just in time for the "Great Recession"! Though a difficult time to join the profession, the lessons learned have shaped how he seeks to help clients. Mike became a partner at G&F in 2017, and his role is centered around G&F's financial planning for all clients and the firm's processes, procedures, and due diligence. He gets great satisfaction in reducing complex planning situations so that clients can understand the impact of their decisions.

Mike also manages the portfolio investments, rebalancing, and trading. He firmly believes in the power of the equity markets and the importance of a portfolio that aligns with a client's objectives. He is always ready to discuss all holdings and the rationale behind all portfolio decisions.

A graduate of Taylor University, Mike majored in business management and minored in finance. He received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in June 2011. He has been a member of the Financial Planning Association of Illinois since June 2014. In May 2017, Mike became a Certified Kingdom Advisor®; you can learn more about that designation here. In October 2018, Mike became a Retirement Income Certified Professional®.

Mike lives in Wheaton with his wife, Whitney, and their four children - Dylan, Cameron, Sadie, and Cora. When he isn't chasing his kids around, he can be found working on a project in their house or yard. Ask him about his current project, the list is never-ending! Mike and Whitney are active in their church and serve in leadership positions. They have served together on the Missionary Furlough Homes Foundation board since 2010 and Mike joined the STARS Family Services board in early 2022.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Mike abides by the CFP Board’s code of ethics. He also abides by the Kingdom Advisor's code of ethics. You can view Mike on the following pages: CFP Board and Kingdom Advisors.
